Day four and I’m fed and in bed at 7:30 p.m. I’m beginning to get into a routine, though it’s hard work packing everything away each morning damp, but I’m really enjoying myself nevertheless.

Day two was the best day by far (very hilly too!) and the only time I saw the sun for a very brief period. I took advantage and snapped a picture of the Seine which I followed for a good few miles, sadly I’m struggling for a decent signal so can’t upload at the moment – will post pictures later.

Day three and four were cold and misty, traveling south through bleak farmland. I’m seeing this part of the journey as a means to an end, so it’s a case of head down and press on. I’ve contacted my first Warm Showers host and if I hear back, I’ll be taking a break and rest day Sunday/Monday.

OK more later when I can get a decent signal…
